Postcards FAQ:
 
HOW DO I HAVE MY POSTCARDS PUBLISHED? 
It's very simple. You prepay the $389.00 and then you can go a couple different ways. You can provide your artwork or we can help design or fully design your postcards for you. We can even mail them out for you based on your criteria.

HOW SOON CAN YOU PRINT THESE? 
First, we need to reserve your spot on the run. You do this by faxing us your completed order form with payment. We can send you a payment link if you wish to use a credit card. Next, provide your artwork in digital format per our specifications. Once you receive a proof of the front and back and sign off on it, you will usually have your cards within 2 to 3 weeks. 

I'M NOT SURE THAT I NEED THAT MANY CARDS! 
You want to know why our minimum is 5,000? Well, we are marketing experts and we KNOW that it takes several mailings to the same people to get their attention. We want our customers to get results with their cards and if we sold you only 1,000 or 2,000 we know that this small amount would NOT change your bottom line. You see, postcards are great because in advertising you have about a half a second to capture someone's attention. With postcards there is no envelope to open and no long letter to read. The front of the card is glossy, colorful and aesthetically pleasing - that alone will capture their attention. Then they'll turn it over and see the back and read it very quickly. If you have something your particular market wants they'll call you to find out more. That is the hook to bring them in and sell.

I'VE TRIED THEM AND THEY DON'T WORK FOR ME! 
Before you give up on postcards, ask yourself these questions: How many times did you try them? What was the image you used? What was the offer? What was the call to action? Postcards work on a repetitive process, just like any form of marketing. You see the same commercials played on TV., in magazines and newspapers, over and over don't you? Postcards are no different. In addition, our postcards are the least expensive of their kind anywhere. We offer the best price, $389.00 for 5,000 cards with full color front finished with a UV coat for extra gloss, this almost unbelievable... right? 

CAN I DIVIDE THE 5,000 UP AND HAVE THE FRONTS PRINTED DIFFERENTLY?
All 5,000 cards must be the same on the front side (color and coated side) of the card. If you want different backs, we can leave the cards blank on the back then you take them to a local quick print shop (cost is about $20.-$30.) to print the different backs on them. We can design a back shell for you to take on disk to your printer if this would help. If you want us to have different backs printed for you we'll have to quote it as a custom job for you; write to us with your idea. 

WHAT IS THE NORMAL TURN AROUND TIME FOR CARDS? 
Normal turnaround is two to three weeks from the time you approve your proof. You will receive a fax proof and/or an e-mail proof to sign off before going to print. What is the date you actually need the cards by? We will always try to meet your deadline and we try not to charge you a rush fee. 

WHY DO YOU REQUIRE PAYMENT IN ADVANCE? 
This is one of the ways we save money and keep the prices low... we have no back-end accounting department. This is actually standard in the postcard industry. You do realize that our price is about a third to a fifth of the going rate for the same product? If we gave terms there would be a percentage of folks that just don't pay their bill. You'd have to absorb that loss with increased prices. Everyone pays in advance - even companies that print 100,000 or more at a time. 

DO YOU GIVE DISCOUNTS TO DEALERS OR PRINTERS?
We do not offer a lower price to dealers. Our prices are so low that there simply is not enough of a margin for us to lower the price any more. However we have many, many resellers ordering from us and they mark up our prices 25% and are STILL incredibly competitive.

Please look for this very specific information on this site. We can also fax or mail the information to you if you'd like. If you have Adobe Acrobat (most computers do) we can send you a file by email.

CAN I E-MAIL MY ARTWORK? 
Yes, e-mail your art to your sales rep and she or he will forward it to our design department or you can e-mail artwork directly at: ArtDepartment@TimsonEdwards.com any other questions can be emailed to: info@@TimsonEdwards.com 

WHAT ARE YOUR DESIGN COSTS?

DO YOU ACCEPT PC FORMAT? 
Yes we do as Quark and PageMaker are now cross platform. Please go to Submitting Art for more info. 

DO YOU ACCEPT TRANSPARENCIES? 
Yes we do but definitely prefer a digital file. 

DO YOU ACCEPT NEGATIVES? 
Actually, we hate negatives and we don't recommend them. Please just send us the actual photograph to scan. We'll get much better quality for you by scanning the original art work or print. A negative has to be blown up so much that you loose quality.
